Reflecting on AS Media

For my AS media we had to create an opening sequence for a film we chose to do. The planning and research was successful because we had to research about the genre of our chosen film and the conventions of it. The actual recording of film was difficult because we started it quite late and we could only do it when we were at school because we needed the classrooms too. Once we started filming we got into the hang of it and it became easier. We had a few problems along the way such as weather conditions and the times when we could film but we overcame that quickly. Once we had finished our recordings we had to edit them on Serif MoviePlus. We had a few problems with that too because the site wasn't up and running for a while, but once it was we started to edit our film straight away. It took a while to edit our opening sequence because we wanted to make sure the shots weren't too long and we had to add music and text on screen. Once we did that, we had to upload it onto our blog. Then we had to write our evaluation which consisted of 7 questions and we had to answer them on Prezi, recording of our answers and presentations. I uploaded everything that i had to do onto my blog in time and got a C overall.

My targets for improvement:

• Stick to deadlines so I don't fall behind in my work
• Manage my time better so I complete my work in time
• Make sure I always link back to the target audience
