In the first screenshot we opened the sound bar and this enabled us to shorten the dialogue so that it doesn't drag on.
This tool was very interesting to use and we have been using with many other shots in the trailer. This tool allows us to slow the speed of the clip in terms of video and sound. The reason we slowed it down was because when filming the actors were speaking quite fast, so when you watch it back it was quite fast paced and will go straight to the next scene. We did not want that to happen because it doesn't represent the codes and conventions of a romance trailer which are usually slow and calm.
To make it easier for us when we were trimming some of the video shots we would zoom into the time bar so that we can cut the video very precisely and accurately.
