We filmed the bedroom scene with "Raven" and "Tiffany" talking about the new chemistry and how good looking he is.
Before we started filming we did a few test shots to see what the mise-en-scene will look like. We didn't use natural light because we thought it looked too bright in the room we used, so we decided to shut the curtains and put on a lamp to make dim lighting for the setting we wanted.
What went well:
The setting: My bedroom was the perfect image for what we wanted because it was a typical girls bedroom with posters on the wall, calm coloured walls and a comfortable feel to it. It was perfect in the way it reflected "Raven's" personality; very subtle, calm and innocent.
We were also very organised. We knew exactly what we wanted to film and how many shots we thought we needed.
After 3 or 4 takes, this is one of our final shots for this scene. We will edit it to make her voice sound louder as it will probably be played against a quiet soundtrack so the audience may not be able to hear her as well as we want.
What could have gone better:
One thing that could have gone better was how serious we were about the scene, It took us quite a few takes to film exactly what we wanted due to us just giggling or being silly. Because of this, it took us longer than expected. We thought we would be done within a matter of 15 minutes but because of the laughing and not being able to get into character. it took us up to half an hour.
These are some of the bloopers while filming:
